Velvet & Tweed

My friend and jewelry designer Kris Nations recently introduced me to the seriously adorable kids clothing line by Velvet & Tweed. Created by designer Tina Schreiber, the fashions are timeless, classic, and super cute! Schreiber helped to launch Janie and Jack, and I'm finding that I love her personal details and fabric choices so much better. This pink velvet coat for girls ($116) and anchor peacoat for boys ($116) will keep your little ones stylishly warm this winter.

Petit Collage Art & Books

Petit Collage is by San Francisco based designer and illustrator Lorena Siminovich. I first came across her work while working at a craft fair a few years ago and purchased one of her wood prints for Chloe while I was pregnant. Since then, I've become a huge fan. A few months ago, I bought this ABC print called My Favorite Things ($30 at Petit Collage). I bought the framed version to save time and it's hanging now near her crib. These days to calm her, we found ourselves going over each letter of the ABC's by pointing to each of the fun letters and objects or just simply singing the ABC song. There's also a boy version or some of her classic ABC posters.

Chloe also loves the finger puppet/board books, In My Tree, In My Den, and In My Nest by Sara Gillingham and illustrated by Lorena Siminovich from Petit Collage (published by Chronicle Books). I just realized there's another book, In My Pond that I need to get to complete her collection. It's so fun to read these books because I've fallen in love with all the illustration myself!

Go Organic with Speesees

The San Francisco based children's brand Speesees is one of my favorites for their adorable organic clothing. I just bought Chloe this adorable lamb jacket ($36) which I've been eying way before she was born. These make great baby shower gifs! While I was pregnant I loved their maternity tops but they don't seem to have them for sale anymore.

David Fussenegger Blankets

David Fussenegger is an Austrian textile designer with some of the best blankets for babies and kids. Chloe got one of his sleep sacks from a friend and ever since then I'm a fan. I love it for his use of color and cute animal drawings. The cotton flannel blankets are lightweight and great to keep babies warm when snuggling at home with mama or out and about in the stroller. This Navy Ahoy Matey Reversible Blanket ($30 at Comfykid.com) is perfect for a baby boy and the Red/Hot Pink Russian Doll Blanket ($30 at Comfykid.com) will keep a baby girl cozy.

Zoobies = Stuffed Animal + Pillow + Blanket

I caught these on the Today Show last week. These adorable Zoobies which look like stuffed animals but are actually a pillow and blanket. Such a fun thing to take on car trips or to Grandma's house. I love Hada the Hippo ($34). They are super affordable and would make a great stocking stuffer. You can watch a video demonstration on the home page of the site.
