Last week at Aldea Baby in San Francisco, moms got a preview of the new Munchkin Latch baby bottles. The process of having a new baby try a bottle is probably one of the most stressful things ever as a new mom. It's your ticket to a little freedom when you need to go out or have some more rest. I have had heard many stories of babies who simply refuse the bottle and sleepy-eyed parents are desperate for anything. Now from Munchkin, comes this innovative new bottle design that actually mimics the breast. It stretches for a better latch and the accordian-like nipple pumps in the same motion as a breast. The blue jewel-like object you see at the bottom of the bottle is the anti-colic valve and ensures that no air bubbles travel through the breast milk. This valve can also be easily removed for cleaning.
Breast milk flow rate is also important which is why there are 3 stages for nipples. Stage 1's nipple flow rate is slower to mimic the flow of the breast. Stage 2 and 3 allow you to increase the flow as your baby grows. Chloe had 3 or 4 different brands of bottles as a baby and none of them matched the cool features of this new Latch bottle. If you are a new mom or mom to be, definitely try this out or put them on your baby registry!
