Sago Mini Town: Let's Little Kids Build Their Own Lands

Sago Mini brings their familiar animal characters (bunny, cat, dog and bird) to life in Sago Mini Town ($2.99 at Apple App Store | Google Play). Sago Mini town is a buildable town that kids can make their own. I love the endless open play that young kids can not only work on creatively building themselves but also having fun at it at the same time.

There are four unique locations with backdrops for kids to choose from. But they can build just about anything no matter which location they choose. Want a beach in your city? Go for it!

For younger kids, the app does a great job of being really intuitive for them to build their town. All they have to do is drag and drop the squares above into the main space. Once a square of grass, concrete, road, dirt or sand is placed, something pops up such as a character in a house or a fun surprise.

Sago Mini doesn't disappoint with all the cute and funny surprises -- you never know what can pop up! The little yeti as Statue of Liberty is my favorite and can pop up in any location. Chloe loves to see what pops up when she drops a square of grass, concrete, road, dirt or sand down because you never know what comes out -- could be a house with a character or something cute and funny!

Again, one of the strong points of Sago Mini is just all of the fun surprises that come up as kids play. There are no in app purchases with Sago Mini games and kids can continue to build their towns at their own pace.

New Toca Boca App: Toca Life Hospital

Toca Boca has just launched a new app for kids, Toca Life Hospital ($2.99 at Apple App Store | Google Play). Filled with adorable characters, the app brings the hospital world to kids, making a scary situation fun. Kids will have a better understanding of how a hospital works since the app features tools you would find in a real hospital such as gurneys, bandages, crutches, hospital beds and more. The game is all about open ended free play and you can move people around from room to room. Chloe loves this game so much and was doing her own countdown for when the game would be launched a week ago. I asked her why she was so excited. She told me that Toca Boca games are so fun because they always have funny surprises in them!

The app starts with the hospital with buttons for all the different floors from -1 to 3. Starting at -1, kids will get to take their patients from the ambulance to the hospital. Floor 0, the main floor has the front desk and food and gift shop, complete with outdoor dining area with grassy park. Floor 1 features the X-ray machines, waiting area and surgery. Floor 2 is the maternity and pediatric wing. Finally, Floor 3 has all of the patient beds and visiting area.

Kids can choose from a variety of super cute and fun characters. How cute is the little dog with goggles?

The detail in this app is amazing. Kids can take their patients from the ambulance straight to X-ray and give their patients xrays or CAT scans to diagnose them. Patients can move floor to floor in the elevator.

This little secret lab is just the cutest! It's on Floor -1 all the way to the right. There's a contraption that will light up each time you find the correct secret button on the floor. (Hint: one of the buttons is inside a locker.)

Kids can take care of their patients and give them medicine. It's cute to see the all the little babies sleeping in the maternity ward.

Kids will have so much fun and open play time with Toca Life Hospital where they can learn all of the ins and outs of hospital life. I love that this game as with all Toca Boca games there are no in app purchases at all!
