I am such a lover of books but as the book stack piles up on my nightstand, I just don't have time everyday to take the time to sit and read. I just started trying out a new app for audiobooks called Libro.fm that will change the way you read! For one thing, Libro.fm lets you purchase audiobooks directly through your local bookstore, helping you support your local business community. As a mom, I'm always driving around the city doing school drop offs, school activities, errands, after school events -- you know the drill. Even though I have Sirius XM radio in the car, I was tired of listening to CNN and all the useless talk shows I ended up entertaining my time with. For the last couple of weeks, I have been listening to Michelle Obama's new book, Becoming while driving in the car and it's been fantastic. My iPhone connects to my car radio via bluetooth and it's made driving so much better. In fact, since Libro.fm is on my iPhone I was able to listen to the book while getting dental surgery. It's been a huge game changer to be able to "read a book" just by going about my normal activities.

I know a friend who would listen to the Harry Potter books in the car with his three kids and that is what they would listen to on the way to and back from school. The app works on iOS and Android. It's DRM free so you can listen to it on multiple devices. I typically listen to to my books on my iPhone but for purposes of this post had it on my iPad mini so I could take a pic. (If you want to listen to the same book between devices, you will need to manually move forward to where you are in the book.)
