Lunch Time

I have gone through a few different kinds of lunch bags for Chloe and I've found the lunch bags at Pottery Barn Kids to be the best. I love that the lunch bags designs feature a wide variety of adorable prints for girls and boys and they are not tied to any commercial character. Chloe has the retro lunch bag in a previous butterfly pattern. I even got it embroidered with her name too which is a nice touch. It's the perfect size for a kid to carry. I chose the retro size lunch bag since it was easier to stack up her small plastic containers to sit along with a thermos of soup or juice box. After a year of daily use in school, it's still in perfect shape. I asked her if she wanted to pick a new lunch bag for Kindergarten and she refused. She loves her butterfly lunch box. Gotta love that!
Tip: I saw this on the Today show last year. There are so many germs at school that it's important to wash their most used school items such as their lunch bag or backpack. I have been washing Chloe's retro lunch bag each weekend and it is still in such fantastic quality.

BubbleBum Booster Car Seat Now at Target + Giveaway

BubbleBum is the first ever inflatable booster seat that's the perfect portable companion for carpools, sleepovers, rental cars, and travel. BubbleBum is for children ages 4-11 who weigh between 40-100 pounds. It should only be used with a 3 point car seat belt (shoulder + lap belt) when used in a vehicle. BubbleBum is really easy to use. When deflated the booster is so compact and fits nicely in it's little bag. To inflate, you twist the valve open and blow until it inflates. I tried it myself and it doesn't take much effort to get it nice and full. It also comes with a seatbelt positioning clip so it sits comfortably on your child's shoulder. A huge plus is that this fits perfectly in my tote bag!

I already know this will be great for when we go to the movies and Chloe needs an extra little boost in her chair in the theater. And I am excited that we can easily bring this on our next vacation or when we have a quick car ride with a friend.

Sit 'N Stroll: Travel Car Seat + Stroller

We are off soon on our first family vacation to Hawaii and one of the purchases I made is the Lily Gold Sit 'N Stroll 5 in 1 Car Seat & Stroller ($243.51 on Amazon). The thought of lugging Chloe at 15 months through the airport while carrying her large car seat or having her fidget and scream on my lap just didn't seem appealing to me. A friend and mom I trust, Nancy recommended it as she has been using it for traveling with her daughter for over a year. This is an FAA approved car seat that doubles as a travel stroller and a booster seat. You can wheel your little one into the airport and even down the airplane aisle to get him/her in their seat. Plus at only 22 pounds this whole thing is pretty light weight compared to carrying a regular car seat and stroller. The less crap I have to lug around the better. Sure it's a bit pricey but I figured we'll be traveling for the next few years and I hope to have another baby who can use this too. Seemed like a worthy investment!

The reviews for the Sit 'N Stroll on One Step Ahead definitely confirmed it all for me. I found the best price on Amazon because there is no sales tax and free shipping on this item. Woo!
